VVF934 / TASHIKO [Video recorder - VHS HiFi]

supplies the following faults for VVF934 / TASHIKO.
List of fault symptoms:
- Warble on PLAY, more obvious in LP mode.
- To align REC bias current.
- Display indicates tape inserted when there is no tape inside.
- Unstable picture on PLAY and colour is intermittent.
- Intermittent snow on PLAY.
- To adjust timer clock in EE mode.
- Permanent supply spool brakes during FF and REW.
- Leaving small loops of tape on eject, sometimes breaking tape.
- Chews up tapes.
- E-E picture is poor with blank raster on PLAY.
- No fast wind - otherwise ok.
- Cassette is accepted by the cassette compartment then ejected immediately. The optocouplers function. (TASHIKO - VVF934 information)
- Goes spontaneously into FF at switch on then switches off after a few seconds. After PB, goes into REW mode when selecting STOP and switches off.
- To adjust record current in REC mode.
- Cassette not being accepted.
- No RC but clock on handset OK. (VVF934 tip from TASHIKO)
- Playback is ok, rewind is ok. Poor FF, the left reel table board brake remains locked and is not operated by the drive. The right reel table brake functions well.
- IR receiver does not function well. Everything else ok.
- Does not accept tape and no Eject. Other functions ok. IC502 ok.
- Intermittently no eject.
- No REW or FF.
- To adjust switching point.
- Switches to standby after an hour or two in REC or PB.
- Colour on E-E and REC is missing.

- To adjust CTL preset in PB mode.
- Switches from LP to standard unprompted.
- White screen, sound OK even on channels after switch on.
- Intermittently shutsdown with cassette symbol flashing.
- Appliance switches off with cassette symbol flashing, can be intermittent. (VVF934 TASHIKO repair tip)
- No eject. Turns in FF for a second then switches to standby.
- Flashing cassette symbol.
- Loads cassette only half way then ejects it and shuts down. (VVF934 tips)
- Randomly stops in PB and REC after a few seconds.
- Appliance does not receive RCU commands but hand unit can be programmed. (service info for TASHIKO -VVF934)
- Rejects tape. FF and REW do not function. VCR switches to protection mode after several seconds.
- Sound is not recorded.
- No playback colour.
- Wow on the sound.
- A loop of tape remains in Eject.
- Appliance loads half way then unloads and switches off.
- At switch on, take up reel turns for 5 seconds, then appliance switches off. Does not accept tape.
- Part no. info.: refs of QR801 and IC802 on front panel.
- Automatically switches from LP to SP.
- Loop of tape after FF or REW.
