5520DVS / TEC [TV]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for 5520DVS / TEC.
List of fault symptoms:
- Does not switch on with RC. OK with mains switch.
- Does not start up. Display lights up.
- Stuck in standby.
- White screen then immediately switches off. Blurred TXT. Sound OK.
- Specks in grey parts of picture. Grey to black transitions go in steps.
- Dark screen. Cannot be controlled by RC.
- No picture (nor via AV scart). Sound, OSD and TXT are OK.
- White screen then immediately switches off.
- White screen at switch on then appliance switches off.
- No picture. Sound OK. Picture OK via SCART.
- Very dark screen. Sound OK.
- No picture content. White picture gets saturated and appliance switches off. Sound OK.
- Picture shifted to the bottom. (service info for TEC -5520DVS)
- Loss of red. All other functions OK.
- Snow on some VHF channels intermittently. Picture in UHF OK.
- No start-up.
- No picture or sound. Display shows P1. No response to control on appliance. Display flashes when RC keys are pressed.
- Enter service mode.
- Power supply fuse has blown. (5520DVS TEC repair tip)
- Completely blue screen at switch on, then appliance switches off.
- Teletext does not work. (5520DVS tips)
- Enter Service Menu.
- No colour on main picture. Colour is OK with PiP. No picture in AV mode.
- Distorted picture.
- Picture torn with intermittent sound in UHF mode. Everything OK in VHF mode.
- No function. Only three dots in display.
- E/W fault.
- No picture.
- Picture cuts out on VHF tuner.
- Blue screen with white lines at switch-on, then appliance switches off.
- Shaking vertical deflection.
- No picture. No sound. Static discharge at switch on.
- Colour tending towards red.
- Picture runs horizontally. Black band of approx 10cm.
- No picture or sound. Only dots on the screen.
- White screen. No audio.
- Low audio.
- Displays C55. RC and user control don't function.
- No sound. Crackling noise and light hum are heard at switch on.

- Field has shifted towards bottom of screen.
- Blue screen at switch-on, then appliance switches off.
