C38 / TEC [TV (chassis)]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for C38 / TEC.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Channels cannot be stored. Search OK. (C38 tips)
  • The appliance goes suddenly to standby without any reason.
  • Resistor R607 in supply of audio end stage becomes very hot.
  • No picture. Audio OK . (C38 tip from TEC)
  • The line folds over and the picture runs, the sound switches off. Appears like a control voltage failure. The appliance tries to synchronise when the present aerial signal is too weak.
  • Weak contrast.
