CT8000 / TECHLINE [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for CT8000 / TECHLINE.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No start-up from standby with RC.
  • Reduced horizontal size.
  • Low audio in MONO.
  • Vertical roll.
  • Vertical line tearing.
  • Switches off by itself. in standby (intermittently).
  • No E/W correction.
  • Switches to standby. after start-up. Red LED blinks.
  • Reduced vertical and horizontal size. intermittently.
  • No screen adjustment.
  • Bright picture.
  • Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
  • No horizontal deflection.
  • Millky picture. Raster OK.
  • No raster. No OSD. No horizontal output signal at pin 40 of IC401.
  • Blank picture. Coloured lines at top.
  • No TXT after operating time. Appliance switches to TXT, only shows 100 top left. Below coloured bars are visible. When appliance is cold TXT functions perfectly.
  • Dead. LED blinks .
  • Blue picture in SECAM.
  • HV flashover at FBT TR602.
  • No start-up.
  • Horizontal foldover.
  • Spot in the centre of screen.
  • Vertical size varies.
  • Blank picture. Flyback lines.
  • Line output transistor fails repeatedly. after a few minutes.
  • Switches to standby. after start-up.
  • TXT fault. (CT8000 tip from TECHLINE)
  • Blank screen.
  • Slow start-up. Pulsating picture appears then switches off.
  • Raster in forms of horizontal bars.
  • Excessive brightness. Flyback lines.
  • PSU pulsates. No start-up from standby.
  • Faulty OSD.
  • Black screen.
  • No audio in NICAM.
  • No tuning.
  • Low contrast.
  • No vertical deflection.
  • Ticking noise. in standby. (TECHLINE - CT8000 information)
  • Vertical foldover.
  • Annoying noise from PSU. Functions OK.
  • At start-up LED switches to green then goes to standby and LED blinks red.
  • Picture size varies with brightness.
  • No picture in PIP mode.
  • Arcing HV.
  • LED briefly green and goes to standby again.
  • No audio.
  • Shuts down. after start-up.
  • No OSD.
  • No TXT.
  • Dead. Standby LED lit .
  • Switches to standby when started with RC.
  • Interference in picture from lower channels.
  • No channels.
  • Dark picture.
  • No start-up. LED flashes 2 times and appliance remains in standby.
  • E/W fault. Excessive horizontal size.
  • Snow in picture.
  • Dead.
  • No start-up. intermittently.
  • No colour.
  • No video signal via SCART.
  • White screen. Flyback lines.
  • No start-up. Green LED flashes . (CT8000 TECHLINE repair tip)
  • No picture. Flyback lines. Audio OK .
  • No start-up. LED flashes green.
  • Annoying noise in standby. (TECHLINE - CT8000 information)
  • Enter service mode.
  • No audio in SECAM L MONO.
  • No RC functions.
  • Blank picture. White stripe at top of screen.
  • Line output voltage at 60V approx.
  • No start-up. Power LED lit for a second then disappears.

With help of this list a solution is found often when TECHLINE CT8000 fails.
