3405LR / VANDA [14" monitors]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for 3405LR / VANDA.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Builds up high voltage for a short time and then immediately goes away again. It starts up unsynchronised when horizontal oscillator warms up.
  • No vertical scan (frame collapse).
  • No horizontal synchronisation.
  • Primary mains switch transistor Q801 (2SK794) is defective.
  • Horizontal line.
  • Voltage at Q403 is too high.
  • PSU does not function.
  • Picture is too dark. Control pots fully turned up.
  • Intermittently shuts down high voltage.
  • No vertical synchronisation.
  • No start-up.
  • Picture size adjustment.
  • Does not always switch on or high voltage only built up for a short time then however switches off again.
  • Switching power supply - regulator adjustment (PWB1029).
  • Colour spots.
  • Dead. Line output stage transistor is defective. Max. picture brightness with flyback lines.

  • Synchronization adjustment.
  • One colour missing.
  • White balance adjustment.
  • Static convergence adjustment.
  • Display data position adjustment.
  • No raster.
  • Focus adjustment.
  • Picture width twitches sporadically, sometimes picture disappears completely and appliance clicks rhythmically.
  • Degaussing.
  • Automatic brightness limiter not functioning.
  • HV collapses after switch-on.
  • No picture.
  • Picture width is too small. No adjustment possible.
  • Picture fails, gets dark or no picture.
  • Picture is horizontally extended in the centre, and twitched on both edges (especially on the right).
  • Size of picture continues to change.
  • No red. White areas are slightly monochrome.
  • No picture. No brightness. LED flashes after a while.
  • Video amplitude abnormal.
  • Too bright and flyback lines.
  • Screen is bright white.

  • No functions.
