VHS360POS / VIDEOTRONIC [TV/video/DVD combination]

List of fault symptoms:
  • Does not accept cassette, after being turned on lacing motor runs back and forth and appliance does not stop.

  • No play, forward or rewind. After a short time the appliance switches off. Eject does not work.
  • Tape mechanism doesn't function. Display ok, but no function.
  • Shut down circuit adjustment.

  • The reel motors run continuously. (picture attached)
  • Bold interference lines in the picture. The the right guide bolt does not completely load the tape.
  • Vertical size adjustment.

  • Poor torque from reel motor.
  • Tape guide is difficult to adjust.

  • Capstan motor doesn't function.

  • Black and white tracking adjustment.
  • No function at times.
  • Switches off in Play after a few secs. Tape is not transported although capstan motor runs.
  • SECAM identification adjustment. (picture attached)
  • Capstan does not rotate and head drum rotates freely.
  • Static convergence adjustment.
  • Dynamic convergence adjustment. (+ extract of circuit diagram)

  • All functions OK except play.
  • SECAM phase and B-Y, R-Y level adjustment. (picture attached)
  • The video head runs continuously. (picture attached)
  • After being switched on the lacing motor does not run to its correct position and the appliance switches off. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Does not eject cassette. Appliance switches off after a short time.
  • The cylinder does not turn. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • APC adjustment.
  • No switch on. When cassette inserted, appliance switches on in PB. No further functions.
  • Drive mechanism has no functions.
  • Audio PB level adjustment.
  • Focus adjustment.
  • Only laces in half way.
  • The end loading procedure is not recognised; the reel-table motor, the capstan motor and the head drum stop turning after 3 to 4 seconds.

  • Appliance laces up half way and immediately out again. Display shows fast forward and rewind but no function. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • P G shifter adjustment. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Tracking fix adjustment. (picture attached)
  • The video head runs too fast. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • No drive function possible.
  • Appliance runs to fast in play. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • No PB. Cassette is accepted, briefly switches to FF and REW, then switches off.
  • Appliance carries out all functions except Play. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • Sub h-hold and h-hold adjustment.
  • Cassette is loaded. No further functions.
  • Hue delay adjustment.
  • 103VDC adjustment.
  • Appliance unlaces in play mode after approx 15 mins and switches to REW. Then for a short time switches to FF. Drive keys are blocked from then. Eject no longer functions. (picture attached)
  • During play the appliance does not lace up completely and then switches off.
