WD14J / WINDSOR [TV 36/37 (34-36) cm picture]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for WD14J / WINDSOR.
List of fault symptoms:
- PSU pulsates quickly at switch on.
- Blue screen. (WD14J tip from WINDSOR)
- Horizontal line.
- No HV.
- Picture folds down at the bottom. Linearity and vertical position cannot be adjusted.
- No start-up from standby.
- Picture appears slowly (5-10 mins later after start-up). Audio OK.
- Audio dropouts via SCART socket.
- Strong continuous chirp from mains transformer with normal operation. Horizontal interference lines (pinch).
- TV does not switch on. Standby LED flickers.
- Intermittently switches off and goes to standby. If switched on again, a digit key has to be pressed on RC.
- Stuck in standby.
- HV output stage (BU808DFI) defective.
- No picture. Audio OK .
- Picture is instable, horizontal lines from the top to the bottom.
- Chassis type.
- Does not start up. Standby LED is present at switch-on. LED becomes green for one sec., then it switches off.
- Dead (intermittently).
- Line output transistor faulty.
- 2-3 cm horizontal stripe in the middle of screen. (WD14J tips)
- Vertical lines. Unstable picture.
- Black vertical bar. on the left.
- Appliance stuck in BG mode.
- No start-up. Display flashes .
- Vertical deflection reduced to 2-4 cm.
- Green picture. Flyback lines. (WINDSOR - WD14J information)
- Vertical streaks.
- R809 and R821 smoking after a few minutes.
- No picture. Blank raster. Audio OK .
- Key-LED lights green for a short time, then becomes red.
- BU808DFI fails every so often.
- No funciona. LED en rojo (WINDSOR - WD14J information)
- Volume uncontrollable. Crackling audio, in standby. OK after a few mins.
- No horizontal or vertical deflection.
- Dead.
- No function via 12/24V power supply.
- No functions.
- RC is defective.
- Enter service mode.
- Blue picture. Retrace lines.
- No start-up. LED is red .
- Switches to protection mode.
- Squealing noise. at start-up.
- 8V missing.
- Blue screen. Flyback lines. (WD14J tips)
- Slow start-up.
- No start-up from standby. LED is red . No line drive.
- Q602 trips repeatedly.
- Dark picture.
- Dark stripes in picture after a few minutes. Growing thicker and distorting the picture.
- Tripping. (WD14J tips)
- No start-up.
- No colour.
- Switches to standby (after warm-up).
